Bio: What is Male? Male is a four legged, four breasted, twin tonsilled, Teutonic/Arabic mix of post-punk guitar pop frippery and post-rock rhythm experimentation. One Male is a quarter of Big Joan. The other was a quarter of Mooz.
One Male plays guitar. Guitar as dry and spiky as the cactus in a Mediterranean bio-dome. The other Male plays drums. Drums that rock then weird out a bit then rock again in an even weirder way.
Both Males have voices too. Voices that soothe, shout, sigh, swoon and scream in no particular order and quite often at the same time. These are all very good things.
Want a lazy sound-bite? How about: Karen O and Todd Trainer doing experimental cover versions of The Slits at their darkest? You'd still be miles off though. You can stroke your chin to Male. You can bang your head to Male. You can sing along to Male. These are all very good things too.
